If you are like me and had a harder-than-average time understanding Sigils for Diablo 4 look no further. They are far simpler than you would expect; there are only a few things you really need to know about them.
Where Do They Drop
Once you complete the main campaign and complete the capstone dungeon in World Tier 2, you can move on to World Tier 3.
Once you do that, Sigels are random drops, like loot they can drop from enemies out in the world, rares, world bosses, and for end-of-dungeon rewards. Additionally, these will drop from the caches from completing the tree of whispers.
Completing nightmare dungeons (once you have your first one) will have a chance drop of higher and higher signals depending on what you complete.
How do you upgrade them?
Sigel crafting from the occultist is unlocked once you complete a tier 3 nightmare dungeon (not to be confused with WORLD Tier 3, which confused me).
Once that is complete, you can upgrade and extract at the occultist.
From there on its pretty self explanatory in game
